Every kill earns ammunition. Every rescue costs them everything.
Jack Mason and C007 survived the Crimson Crown.
Their reward is promotion to Orange rank and immediate deployment into the Trenches of Aethel, a modern war zone where the Game Master has turned slaughter into a competitive sport.
Kills buy ammunition.
Objectives unlock food and medicine.
High scores earn respawn priority.
Mercy earns nothing.
Jack’s military experience makes C007 brutally effective, but every victory pushes them higher on a scoreboard designed to reward obedience. Marshal Eamon Vale, the sector’s untouchable Scorekeeper, offers Jack weapons, authority, and enough respawn tickets to keep his squad alive.
All Jack has to do is stop treating the enemy like people.
Maria refuses. She writes her own Rules of Engagement, protects prisoners the system wants executed, and turns battlefield medicine into an act of rebellion. Huey begins seeing the same hidden Orange beneath both armies. Craig’s old war programming recognizes commands he was built to obey. Nyx can move unseen through Infrared routes, but every mission strips away another piece of who she is.
Then C007 discovers the truth beneath the trenches.
The two armies are being manufactured from the same stolen minds, given different uniforms, edited memories, and fresh reasons to hate each other. The war was never meant to be won.
It was built to keep the scoreboard running.
Destroying the machine would earn C007 victory, but erase thousands of lives waiting to be respawned. Saving them will make the squad traitors to both sides and targets for every soldier still chasing points.
The Game Master wants a higher body count.
C007 is about to make the system forget who the enemy is.
When the colors are lies, paint yourself Orange.
This version centers the outline’s war-score economy, shared identity beneath both factions, Foundry dilemma, and Orange resistance symbol.
